Must Haves For Fall!

Hey there! I'm loving that the trends for this fall are so practical and diverse, so I decided to put together a list of some of my own must-haves for this fall. I stuck to the trusty number of 10 because there are just too many cute things to choose from, and it's easy to fall in love with everything! So, I stuck to the essentials.

1. A leather jacket ~ I am a sucker for leather jackets, I got my first one 3-4 years ago and can't image my life without one ever again. I usually stick to less biker styled ones and more bomber or plain ones with a hood. My current one has seen better days and since they are really in this year, there are so many different styles popping up, I think I might go for a biker one this year.
My pick: H&M for $46.

2. Ankle boots ~ I have a pair of suede lace-up wedges and they are the comfiest thing in the world. Since all kinds of ankle boots are in this fall, I decided adding another pair of wedged booties to my wardrobe couldn't be horrible. I came across these black wedge ankle boots, they are spiced up with gold buckles and a gold strip at the toe, they zip up so you know they're easy to get on and off! I think the right pair of ankle boots can really boost an outfit.
My pick: ASOS for $80.

3. A neck scarf ~ I'm not sure if these have a special name but I'm going to call them neck scarves for now. I have a hefty collection of scarves already, but most of them actually keep me warm in the winter, yeah you know. I am in love with the way small decorative scarves can make you look and feel classy. Thanks to the site, I saw that you can wear these types of scarves as a headband or bow for a retro look, as a belt, or around your neck. I'm in!
My pick: ModCloth for $8.

4. Patterned tights ~ I thank the fashion gods every night for bringing pattern tights into the mainstream some more. I remember I got made fun of for wearing them in the early days of high-school. Now, there are so many different styles, they're the perfect edgy touch to an outfit! I'm laughing all the way to the tight shop. Though pattern tights aren't everyone's cup of tea, plain tights and a dress with some high boots in the winter is so cute.
My pick: TheTightSpot for $20.

5. A beanie ~ Beanies are everywhere, and they are breaking the boundaries of what I thought was an acceptable outfit for a beanie. I have seen all kinds of beanies paired with all kinds of outfits other than casual and I'm liking the trend. I have a feeling they are going to become a bad hair day go-to for me. I chose this knitted one with small embellishments, warmth and huzza. Are you into the beanie trend or does it not do anything for you!?
My pick: NewLook for $20.

6. Army green blouse ~ Army green and military styled jackets and shirts are in and I like the boyish-chic look it gives to an outfit. I think they are laid-back looking but so stylish, I have a sheer army green shirt that I've thrown over so many outfits, so there's no doubt in my mind that it would be worn plenty. I liked this army green bat-wing blouse because it a little different from a standard blouse. It doesn't button up all the way so it's good for tucking into things, and the details on the cuffs are nice.
My pick: SheInside for $22.

7. Over-sized cardigan ~ In the fall/winter I'm a layer freak and over-sized cardigans are perfect for that. You can dress them up, or dress them down, you can also just throw them on and run to class or work, they are so trusty! I love all the Aztec prints I've been seeing over the summer and I love how that is made a fall/winter look with this cardigan.
My pick: Boohoo for $36.

8. Maxi-skirt ~ I feel like I'm the only girl without a maxi-skirt, I know I have maxi-dresses and I love them so I don't know why I've never gotten a skirt! This fall I definitely want one, they have that bohemian vibe that can be played around with. I like this burgundy one because for fall I want to wear darker, earthly colors, and this color in a maxi-skirt really appeals to me. You can make it edgy with boots and a leather jacket, or girly with creams or light pinks. And when it gets colder no one can give you funny looks for wearing a skirt, it's long! ;)
My pick: NewLook for $30.

9. A dress ~ More specifically I really need a dress this fall that is cute, easy and appropriate for class and work. There is an abundance of all kinds of dresses out for fall, lot's of skater style and peplum which I think are both ridiculously cute. But I need something to throw on when you're not feeling 100% while still looking cute and feeling comfortable, tall order. I like this navy dress because it's not super tight anywhere, the elastic waist is flattering, and it's a practical length, without being the awkward knee length that looks funny on me. There really are tons of amazing dresses out now, it's heaven!
My pick: Pull&Bear for $42.

10. A satchel or a cross body bag ~ I have a weak spot or small purses that don't serve much purpose other than being incredibly cute, *refer to the cupcake purse* aw adorable! But I want an every-day bag that can fit just the right amount of things. Satchel and cross body bags are really in this season and I'm on the hunt for a really nice one. I found this pretty standard black cross body bag which is super cute, but I am still looking for something with a bit more personality. If anyone knows any sites with cute bags let me know! I love to browse.
My pick: Aldo for $35.

Phew, well that was my list! It's not the most flamboyant but I chose these as my must-haves because they are good bases for an outfit. I don't know if it's just me but there are so many cute clothes out this season! What are some of your must-haves for fall?!
