I'll also share an extremely useful tip for those who love that sparkly nail polish, but hate taking it off!
The polishes I used will be shown at the bottom.
You'll need:
2 colors of polish
Sparkle nail polish
Top/Base polish (optional)
Nail file/ buffer (optional)
Step 1:
File and buff your nails!
Step 2:
Apply any sort of base coat.
Step 3:
With your primary color, paint all nails except for the ring finger.
You could also substitute your pinky or any other one.
Step 4:
With your secondary color, paint the finger you left blank.
Step 5:
With your sparkly polish, paint over the secondary color.
Step 6:
Apply a top coat and you're finished!
***
(Shameful)
Wet a cotton ball or pad in nail polish remover
Wrap the nails in the cotton ball, then wrap tin foil around them.
Scrunch it up so it's nice and tight around your finger keeping the cotton ball in place.
Wait about 5 minutes and slide everything off your finger.
The sparkles will come right off, without force! No. Joking. Around.

Polishes I used:

Came in a pack of 4 "Precious Metals"

My clear coat wasn't very photogenic but it is Sally Hansen's, diamond strength, diamond shine, base & top coat.

Ah the removing nail polish trick is awesome! I used to have a favourite nail look which consisted of like 10 layers of glitter nail polish and it always took, like an hour to get off.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, I'm glad you find it useful! It saved me when I discovered it. I was about to give up on glitter all together!
